2006: The ABSA board extends
SA-C exam eligibility to all NIFA
students enrolled before November
17, 2005 and who graduate no later
than December 31, 2007. These graduates
must take the SA-C exam prior to May
1, 2008.

2006: NIFA® purchases own
offices.

2005: NASC announces that it
will only allow
'college trained surgical assistants'
to sit for the AS-C exam effective immediately
(included a grandfather clause for current
qualified certified assistants through
11/15/06).

2005: The National Assistant
at Surgery Council, Inc. ™ (NASC™)
is founded and all rights to the Assistant
at Surgery - Certified™ National
Exam (AS-C™) from the NCCT are
purchased.
